K-13 Explosion Proof Model
As one of the electrical devices protection methods, the door system is constructed to eliminate the possibility of explosion caused by electrical sparks and rising temperature.
According to the explosion proof standards, it is required to follow the details on using approved bolts and nuts, couplings, container material strengths, clearance gaps between the parts and explosion tests.
Explosion-Proof Standards
① the container has to have mechanical strengths to withstand the internal blast pressure,
② flame and hot gases generated by the internal explosion should not reach outside the container
③ the external surface temperature of the container should not reach the ignition temperature of the outside gas
